Never Too Cute To Kick Some Ass

Wouldn't life be a beautiful place if we could get rid of all the thieves, rapists, carjackers, serial killers and home invaders out there? There would probably be pretty little unicorns prancing through fields of violets and puppies and bunnies frolicking right along side them.

We all know that no matter how hard we try or how many laws are made or how many police officers there are, this world just can't exist. Stuff happens. That's why I choose to practice my second amendment right and carry a firearm.

Do I go around looking like this all the time?

Heck no! Not a very cute look if you ask me. And it might scare a few people off. Just because I have the right to carry doesn't mean I have to try to look like a bad ass and go around with my pistol in full view all day long. Instead, I keep my right to carry in mind when purse shopping!

Not only does the perfect purse have to have an easily accessible outside pocket for my keys and cell phone. It also has to have a little spot for my gun. When I first started looking for purses that would fit this bill, all I found were butch looking tough leather bags that look like something some Amazon woman might carry.

Then I discovered they don't have to be designed specifically to conceal a gun to be able to work for me. Here are a couple of my purses that work just fine for this purpose.

This one is a Liz Claiborne. I love the contrasting yellow lining and the stripey straps. And my LuxeLink looks so cute hanging on there!

Bet you'd never guess I have a revolver in that zippered part right above the keys and cell phone pocket flap!

And here we have a Tommy Hilfiger leather hobo bag. Cute huh?

The pink lining is pretty cute too. Still looks pretty innocent, huh?

Well, lookie there! It's my revolver. Perfect fit, huh? So many times I have felt much safer knowing I can protect myself and my family should the need arise. And I still look good while I'm at it!

If you're still not convinced having a firearm might be a good idea, take a couple if minutes and browse around over here.

There are few things sexier than a gal with a gun on her hip!

Some good info here for my wife...I'll send her over to check out the purses.

Thanks.

I have to agree with David.

The only thing that could make the first pic cuter is if the gun, holster, mag holder, and belt matched the rest of the outfit better. They look a bit utilitarian, but not bad considering.

The guy vote will probably be unanimous on this...

A purse can be handy, but technically speaking the best place for your gun is on your person. A purse can be lost or stolen a bit more easily. - Lyle

A purse is also the primary target of any thief. It would be a shame to have a purse snatcher end up with both your money and your firearm.

Here in Israel, there's no such thing as concealed carry. You either carry, or you don't.

My wife and I carry Glocks in Foubus holsters, just like in the picture, daily.

But you may have a point, nobuddy ever tells me I look cute in my Glock and Fobus ensemble :)

I am never looking at a young lady with a designer handbag the same way again!

And ditto on the first picture being cute.

Keeping my gun concealed allows the sheep to walk around in their normal daze hoping that greatness of numbers will save them from the wolves. The funny thing is that criminals never carry openly so really there is no reason to fear my gun when I open carry it in a holster. The person they should actually fear is the criminal who is looking for his or her next easy victim . . .

If you haven't already you might check out Coronado Leather. They make "carry" bags that are very well taylored and are excellent for the purpose. My wife has one that has been her favorite everyday purse for about ten years now.

I've just got to say --- fascinating comments -- don't hear from these guys on a regular basis! You really brought something out in the man!

Liz Claiborne bags are awesome.

And you are awesome for carrying a gun.

We have a pistol but we are so paranoid that it's got a trigger lock on it that requires a key, and is also locked in a briefcase. If someone ever breaks in we are screwed because we can't remember the combination to the briefcase and don't know where the key to the trigger lock is. I guess we can just wave the briefcase in a threatening manner.

I think I'm going to have to write a blog about this, I still have more to say and I'm hogging your comment section.

I suggest wearing the gun while showing your house to potential buyers. They'll be convinced that the side yard in its current state really isn't that big of a deal.

I like troyboy's idea for showing your house!!

You go girl. I want my own gun. My mom and I took a pistol course last year. I love to shoot.

I carry a glock at all times. I did it BEFORE I had the spawn, but after spawn I am NEVER without it. There are WAY too many shitheads on the planet to NOT protect yourself and your babes. I use an ankle holster, which works since I like the wide leg jean look. When I don't wear it, I use a claiborne. Props to you, girl! I can also shoot a teacup off a saucer at 60 yards.:)

While this look is waaay cute I think that safety is being overlooked in using a regular purse over one specifically designed for cc. In the first picture I am worried over how you would draw the gun without the holster hanging on. In the second pic two zippers is alot to mess with getting through in a time of panic let alone find among all of the other contents. Do you actively practice drawing the guns from these separate purses to make sure that you can draw efficiently and quickly? Just some food for thought.
